The Challenger 3500 is a continuation of the truly legendary Challenger 300 family with a fundamentally new passenger cabin concept. This concept is reflected in the name, which, by its numerical designation, is similar to the older long-haul Global aircraft family – the cabin uses seats adapted in size, just like the larger model.

Bombardier's new philosophy is to provide passengers with an equivalent level of comfort, even though the models differ significantly in terms of range and cabin dimensions.

The main changes in the Challenger 3500 are focused on the passenger cabin: the cabin pressure control system has been redesigned to maintain higher pressure throughout the flight, equivalent to being at an altitude of 600 meters; there is voice control for temperature, entertainment functions, and cabin lighting; the cabin lighting scheme has been reworked; a storage and crystal display compartment has been added in the kitchen area, along with a wine storage system with a transparent door; 24-inch 4K diagonal monitors are provided for video viewing; a more efficient air conditioning and ventilation system refreshes the cabin air more quickly, providing a sense of freshness and cleanliness.

The calculated range of the Challenger 3500 with four passengers on board is 6,297 kilometers at a cruising speed of 0.77 Mach. Like previous models, the Challenger 3500 is planned to be certified for steep approach landings at airports such as London City and Aspen.
