Bombardier recently announced that it may discontinue production of the Learjet 60 XR private jet this autumn due to the depressed state of the mid-size private jet market.
At the moment, the company is also monitoring the situation and if the market situation improves, production may be resumed.
In the first quarter of 2012, Bombardier delivered only 3 Learjet 60 XR private jets.
The company sees the development of Learjet 70/75 and Learjet 85 aircraft as a higher priority, for which investments in the amount of USD 52 million were directed.
