LEARJET 85 FIRST FLIGHT

On April 9, a new stage of testing began - flight tests. A private jet made entirely of composite materials took off. The flight was performed by two chief pilots and a test engineer. The main task of the flight was to check the controllability of the aircraft and the functioning of all onboard systems. During the tests, the aircraft reached an altitude of 9000 meters and developed a speed of about 450 km/h.

6 years have passed since the launch of the Learjet 85 development project. It was planned to make the first flight in early 2013 and begin deliveries at the end of 2013. But these terms were shifted due to nuances with suppliers, especially of composite materials. 

The estimated cost of a 9-seater Learjet 85 private jet is US $ 20 million.
