OSTAFYEVO AIRPORT FUTURE

At the 6th Moscow Forum of Real Estate Market Leaders, held for the 6th time, Marat Khusnullin, who holds the post of Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction, said that by the end of the year, a decision is expected to develop the territory near Ostafyevo airport. 

After the recent expansion of Moscow's borders, the airport is located within the city limits and is the only operating airport on its territory. Ostafyevo airport is currently the base airport for Gazprom avia.

At the beginning of 2012, the airport development program and the construction project were approved for a period of 3 years. As part of these programs, it is planned to extend the runway to 2,500 meters, as well as to build additional taxiways and parking spaces. 

It is planned to build a hotel, an on-board catering workshop, a fuel and lubricants storage facility, and additional hangars. In particular, it is planned to build a hangar for 5 heavy private jets, for example, such as the Global 5000, Challenger 605 or Falcon 900DX.

Convenience and speed of transport links play an important role in the functioning of any airport. The reconstruction of the highway from the Kaluga highway to the airport is underway.
