Unfortunately, the first test flight of Bombardier's new Learjet 85 that was planned for late 2013, has been postponed once again.
An application for permission for the first test flight has not yet received approval from the FAA. This is not the first transfer of a test flight. Previously, it was planned to perform a test flight in February 2013, but due to problems with suppliers of composite materials, the flight was postponed. In September, the company was able to conduct ground tests - engine start, taxiing and mileage. Bombardier says it will receive a Type Certificate for the Learjet 85 during 2014.
The Learjet 85 is expected to be the first full-composite mid-range aircraft.
