GULFSTREAM PRESENTED NEW PRIVATE JETS

On November 14 launch, Gulfstream presented two brand new private jets that were built from scratch - the Gulfstream G500 and G600. The G500 and G600 are currently available as prototypes.

Both aircraft are classified as ultra-long range private jets, with the G500 having a range of over 9,000 km and the G600 almost 11,500 km. The top speed is identical to the flagship G650. Structurally, both of these aircraft are in many ways similar to the G650, they share same technological solutions. 

Rumors about the development of new projects by Gulfstream from scratch had been circulating for a long time, but it was not clear to which segment they would belong. The G450 was supposed to be updated and replaced. The company also fixed the price of the first 50 business jets G500 USD 43.5 million, G600 - USD 54.5 million.

The G500 first flight is planned in 2015, type certificate granting in 2017, and deliveries to owners starting from 2018. The G600 is shifted relative to the G500 by about a year.
