GULFSTREAM G650 FROM LOS ANGELES TO MELBOURNE

On March 1, a Gulfstream G650 private jet made a non-stop demo flight between Los Angeles and Melbourne. According to the manufacturer, this was the first non-stop flight between these two cities. The distance between them is close to the maximum flight range stated in the technical characteristics of the Gulfstream G650 - about 13,000 kilometers and was covered in 14 hours 49 minutes.

The purpose of the flight was likely to show the benefits on such a long flight. Competition in the intercontinental private jet segment is currently fierce, with the Bombardier Global 8000 expected to be released shortly with a declared range of more than 14,500 kilometers, more than the Gulfstream G650.
