Cessna Aircraft has announced the successful performance of its first intercontinental flight with the new Citation X+. The private jet took off from the aircraft plant in Wichita (USA) and landed in Le Bourget (France). The flight took 5 hours 30 minutes. The average speed during flight was Mach 0.86. After Le Bourget, the plane was relocated to Farnborough (Great Britain).
The start of work on the updated Citation X was announced back in 2010. The Citation X+ boasts longer cabin and increased range, allowing you to fly from London to New York, for example, without refueling.
