Based on a triple side agreement signed by Cessna Aircraft, China Aviation Industry General Aircraft and the government of Shíjiāzhuāng, a Cessna Caravan aircraft assembly plant is planned.
The aircraft produced are planned to be sold on the Chinese market.
Mike Sheeh, vice president of business development at Cessna Aircraft, said the agreement will allow the sale of Cessna aircraft to Chinese customers on better terms. Aircraft assembly kits will be manufactured directly in the United States, with final assembly carried out at the Shíjiāzhuāng facility. This company will also carry out painting work and install interiors.
According to Scott Ernest, President and CEO of Cessna, the Chinese market looks promising and is expected to provide good opportunities for the development of Cessna Aircraft.
